I have recently installed four partitioned Domino servers onto a iSeries 810 server. Two of the partitions are mail/web app servers, one partition is running only ICM, and the fourth partition is Sametime 3.1. The server currently only has a small number of active users. The system is running OS/400 V5R2 and has 2GBs of main memory storage. This server is only for Domino so I am running all of the servers out of BASE.
I have notice performance problems since we enabled portions of our clustered website with STLinks to our Sametime server. Although the CPU is averaging less than 20% and I am not seeing a lot of Non-DB Page faults, I am seeing a very large number of Active->Wait Threads. The Active->Wait Threads are averaging 10,000 threads. I have looked at other systems and they seem to average only 500 threads in this status.
Does anyone no what parameters I should be adjusting to decrease the number of Active->Wait Threads? We are using Performance Adjustor and I even raised the number of Max Active Threads for the BASE memory pool to 1000 but this did not make any change in the number of Active->Wait threads we are experiencing.
